1950s Triple Crown Original Artwork by Willard Mullin
This marvelous pen & ink was drawn by the dean of all sports cartoonists, Willard Mullin. It speaks of racing’s ultimate jewel, the Triple Crown, and shows two horses, one covered in Kentucky “Derby Roses” and the other in the Preakness’ “Black Eyes Susan’s.” The horse on the right is questioning what kind of posies will be there for the Belmont this Saturday. It is EX, measures 16x20” and is beautifully framed to slightly larger.
