1951-52 Kalamazoo Lassies AAGPL Jane Moffet Replica Tour Uniform Plus Related Material

Circa 1951 Kalamazoo Lassies All-American Girls Professional League (AAGPL) replica uniform worn by former AAGPL player Jane Moffet in the 1990s and early 2000s. After the establishment of a permanent exhibit at the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988, titled "Women in Baseball, which chronicled the history of the AAGPL, and even more so with the release of the 1992 hit film "A League of Their Own," interest in the AAGPL grew tremendously. As a result, Moffet and other former players suddenly found themselves in high demand and began appearing regularly at exhibition games and signing shows during the 1990s and early 2000s.

This uniform was worn by Moffet at those events and is a modern replica of the one she wore in the 1950s. Produced by K&P Weaver LLC, the white cotton uniform features the team's circular logo on the front and an AAGPL patch on the left sleeve. Complete with green bloomers, hat, and Moffet's right-handed fielder's glove from the 1990s. The uniform components display moderate wear, while the glove displays heavy use. Moffet was a member of the Lassies in 1951 and 1952, and she also played with Springfield, Chicago, and Battle Creek during her four seasons in the AAGPL (1949-1952).

The uniform and glove are accompanied by nineteen related AAGPL souvenir items, all from the 1990s, including a replica Kalamazoo Lassies pennant, three 1995 Jane Moffet signed AAGPL baseball cards, five Jane Moffet signed photos/AAGPL promotional items, a Jane Moffet signed poster, four multi-signed AAGPL promotional items, a 2008 AAGPL large-format calendar, two second-generation AAGPL photographs, a "League of Their Own" replica poster, and Moffet's AAGPL business card. Not including the pennant, baseball cards, and business card, sizes range from 5.5x8.5" to 20x14". Signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, grade 9/10 overall. The pennant (29" in length) has been folded several times and displays heavy creasing; the remaining items are all in Excellent to Mint condition. The two posters are rolled and will be shipped in that manner.
