1951 Brooklyn Dodgers Original Cartoon Art by Omelia (19x28" framed)
Best here is the image of the Bum and the Giant together on the first place swing. Terrific pen and ink work was commissioned for The Sporting News near the very end of the 1951 season, just days before Bobby Thomson's "Shot" put an end to this neck-and-neck race. Other image has Giants pitcher Sal Maglie getting ready to give the Bum a haircut. This is also very likely from the end of the 1951 season. Each NRMT work measures 10x12" and is matted and framed side by side for tremendous eye appeal. Omelia was one of the top two or three sports cartoonists of the day.
