1951 Giants vs. Dodgers "Shot Heard Round the World" Game 3 Playoff Ticket Stub PSA PR 1
Historic ticket stub issued for the third and final National League playoff game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants, held at the Polo Grounds on October 3, 1951. Graded POOR 1 (Reinforced) by PSA. This is a rare ticket stub and one of only seven listed in the PSA Population Report. It is also the first such example we have ever offered. The game, of course, is one of the most memorable in baseball as Bobby Thomson's three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Giants a 5-4 win, and with it, the National League pennant. The ticket stub (1.5x3") has several repaired tears and displays a small area of surface paper loss near the front base.
