1951 Hiram Bithorn Single Signed Baseball

1951 Hiram Bithorn Single Signed Baseball

Drafted by the Cubs in 1941, Bithorn made his major league debut the following April to become the first Puerto Rican in the bigs. Although, his career never lived up to what it could have been due to injuries, he still is the Jackie Robinson of Puerto Rican players. Tragically dying on December 30th, 1951, he signed this ball just 6 short months before his death. Official National League (Frick) ball has been signed on the sweetspot. The ball has been dated on the side panel 6/11/51. Ink rates 9 out of 10. The ball is a nice cream color with some staining.
