1951 Jackie Robinson All Stars Barnstorming Game Full Ticket Pair PSA 5 & PSA 6 (Only Known Examples)
Pair of full tickets issued for a game between the Jackie Robinson All Stars and the Negro American League All Stars at Ruppert Stadium in Newark, New Jersey on October 1, 1951. Each ticket has been graded by PSA, with one receiving a grade of EX-MT 6 and the other a grade of EX 5. All items relating to Jackie Robinson's annual postseason barnstorming tours during the late 1940s and early 1950s are rare, especially tickets. These are the only two examples of this ticket we have ever seen and the only two examples listed in the PSA Population Report. Their rarity is directly related to the fact that this game was cancelled and never played. As such these tickets are commonly referred to in the hobby as "phantoms." Each ticket measures 4x1.5 inches.
