1951 Joe DiMaggio Plaque
This 15" tall shield shaped plaque has an applied bronze facade with bat and ball decor which is inscribed, "For his inspiration to the Youth of America, for his outstanding service and contribution to our great National Pastime, presented by the Joe Di Maggio fan club of Erie Pennsylvania, June 3rd 1951." The plaque is in outstanding condition with some very light surface scratches. There is a thin layer of adhesive from a protective sheet that was applied to the facade and should be able to clean up easily with some mild detergent. It is accompanied by an LOA from his granddaughters Paula Di Maggio Hamra and Kathie Di Maggio Stein stating that this plaque was indeed presented to their grandfather and originates from his personal collection.
