1951 N.Y. Yankees Panorama Presented to Ed Lopat

1951 N.Y. Yankees Panorama Presented to Ed Lopat

Ed Lopat won five World Series during his career. 1951 was one of those victorious years. Lopat, also selected as an All-Star in 1951, was known for his "junk" pitches. He started his career with the Chicago White Sox before moving to the Yankees in 1948. He stayed with them until 1955, when he was transferred to the Orioles. This is a 1951 N.Y. Yankees panorama that was presented to Lopat, and was given only to players and VIP's wearing armbands. The 1951 season was managed by the famous Casey Stengel, who is seated in the center. Top row, 2nd from the right you see 37 year old Joe DiMaggio during his last MLB year. In the middle row, 5th from the right is 20 year old Mickey Mantle during his first year MLB debut. Framed photo measures 15.5 x 23.5".
