The collection includes #313 Thomson EX-MT; 324 EX-MT; 330 EX-MT; 334 EX; 335 EX; 339 EX-MT; 340 EX-MT; 342 Labine EX-MT; 343 EX; 345 EX-MT; 349 EX; 350 EX-MT; 353 EX-MT; 355 EX; 360 EX-MT; 361 EX-MT; 367 NM; 368 EX-MT; 373 EX; 379 EX-MT; 380 EX-MT; 384 Crosetti EX-MT; 387 EX; 388 EX-MT; 389 Wade EX; 390 EX-MT; 393 EX-MT; 402 NM; 404 EX-MT; and 405 EX-MT.These cards originate from a new find of 1952 Topps baseball cards that recently surfaced in the Midwest. Highlights included two examples each for Mantle, Mays, and Robinson, as well as many high numbers. Our consignor's husband collected the cards as a child and, miraculously, nearly all avoided the common fate of being repeatedly flipped or placed in bike spokes. Instead, he carefully stored them in a shoe box, where they remained, untouched, for the past seventy years. The majority of the cards are in mid-to-high grade, with centering the only issue of note for most. Three of the cards (Mantle, Mays, and Robinson) made their hobby debut in our Winter Focus Auction.
