1953-54 Stan Musial Game Used Bat (PSA 10)

1953-54 Stan Musial Game Used Bat (PSA 10)

A perfect 10. This Hillerich & Bradsby model M159 graded a perfect GU 10 by PSA/DNA. Measuring 34.5" and 29.9 ounces, this was wielded by “The Man” himself in the prime of his St. Louis Cardinals and Baseball Hall of Fame tenure. A simply awesome specimen, it displays fantastic use with many ball marks, stitch impressions, a slight handle crack and perhaps most importantly "cleat marks" which is well known among bat circles as a trademark Stan Musial trait. This bat carries a magnificent history as it comes from the nephew of St. Petersburg Mayor Al Lang, who recalls that Musial gave the bat to his uncle after a game at Crosley Field circa 1953. Lang was noted for luring Major League teams to Florida for Spring Training, and the St. Louis Cardinals Florida venue was named for Lang. An LOA accompanies this majestic piece, which is rated a perfect GU 10 by PSA.
