1953 Bowman Baseball Black & White Complete Set w/45 of 64 Signed
Kind of tough to find a complete set of the 1953 Bowman black and white baseball issue but you can find one if you want it. But, what we have here is a complete set with 45 of the cards being signed. This is not easy at all to find. And they are not just any signatures, they are vintage signatures from the 1950‚s. The cards average VG-EX with about 15% below and 10% above. The signatures average 7/10 and are all done in ink. These were obtained by an early collector. He put together the set in 1953 and he either got the signatures in-person or through the mail. The Casey Stengel signature is a secretarial version but that is the only one that we see that was signed by someone other than the player. Here is a list of the cards that are NOT signed-#‚s 1, 3, 6, 7, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 32, 38, 43, 46, 47, 51, 54, 56, and 59. The rest are all signed.
