1953 New York Yankees Silver Tray
This shiny 13” silver tray was created as a presentational item for the Yankees' fifth championship in as many years, three of which came against the rival Brooklyn Dodgers. There are 37 engraved signatures including Mantle, Rizzuto, Berra, Mize, Crosetti, Stengel and Martin, surrounding a team logo and “1953 World Champions” etched in. There are a couple of minor spots where the silver plate has worn through but otherwise it is in EX condition. It was presented exclusively to players and team officials. The five straight World Series crowns remains a major league record.
