1953 Roy Campanella Photograph (PSA Type I)
Terrific 1953 image highlights a broadly grinning Brooklyn Dodgers catcher Roy Campanella. Measuring 7x9", the borders remain white on this Type I photo, with Campy holding a trio of bats while looking just off camera. Back has the original United Press wirecopy attached, noting that the future Hall of Famer had set a new Major League record for homers by a catcher with 38 on September 6, while tying the RBI mark at that position with 133. Dated 9/6/53. Very slight creases to a couple of corners is evident with close examination, great clean look. Encapsulated by PSA as Type I Authentic.
