Complete run of all six ticket stubs issued for the 1953 World Series between the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees. The Series, which was won by the Yankees, marked the club's record fifth consecutive World Championship, three of which came at the expense of the Dodgers. This collection includes ticket stubs for two games in which Mickey Mantle hit home runs, which represented his third and fourth career World Series home runs. 1) Game 1 (at New York). VG, with light creasing and a rough top border. 2) Game 2 (at New York). Mantle home run. Fair to Good, with creasing and small tears along the top border. 3) Game 3 (at Brooklyn). VG, with light creasing. 4) Game 4 (at Brooklyn). Fair, with light creasing and staining. 5) Game 5 (at Brooklyn). Mantle home run. GD, with moderate creasing and light toning. 6) Game 6. GD, with light creasing and a tiny edge tear. All measure approximately 4.25x2.25".
