1954 A.L. Champion Cleveland Indians Cardboard Sign

1954 A.L. Champion Cleveland Indians Cardboard Sign

The first we have seen of this heavy cardboard, definitive sign and schedule, it promotes the impossible year of 1954 in which the Cleveland Indians won 111 games but were stymied by Willie Mays and the New York Giants. The Tribe had an mpressive lineup loaded with talent, and this piece represents that greatness perfectly. It measures 13x20" and has some staining, but it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find another. There is an original hole at top for hanging. From the Gus LeDonne collection, legendary football and sports collector who passed away too soon in 2013. A top of the line buyer, Gus bought the best of the best in the early days of our hobby.
