1954 Baltimore Orioles Home Coming Sign

1954 Baltimore Orioles Home Coming Sign

1954 was the first year of the modern Baltimore Orioles. This fabulous sign measures 12 x 16" and appears to have been hung on a telephone pole as there are staple marks in the letters "R" and "E". There is also a hole in the bottom of the "O". One bat handle is missing from the top left of the sign, which shows age and some wear, specifically on the right side as it looks like someone tried cleaning it. "Home Coming 1954" is written on the bottom. There is also a dent above the letter "I" with a little paint loss. This is a great Baltimore Orioles item from the first season of the modern Orioles.
