1954 Brooklyn Dodgers Signed Photo from Junior Gilliam Estate (20x12")

1954 Brooklyn Dodgers Signed Photo from Junior Gilliam Estate (20x12")

One of the greatest photos extant of the team that finally answered the dreams of the borough of Brooklyn in 1955. Fittingly in dead center is Jackie Robinson, the player that defined the team that broke baseball’s color line. 35 members (including coaches, managers, etc.) of that team pictured here with 34 total black pen signatures underneath. Includes Reese, Alston, Newcombe, Snider, Hodges, Campanella, Robinson, Herman, Erskine, Podres, Lyons (coach), & more. Contrast in the photo is spectacular. Slightly toned, some paper loss around the perimeter does not detract from overall presentation of players and some curling. VG-EX. Signatures are all dark and bold, average grade being a “7”. Matted and framed to 28x20”. Emanates from the Jim Gilliam estate.
