1954 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Panorama
One year shy of their historic rise to World Champions status, the 1954 Brooklyn Dodgers look resplendent in this team panorama taken in center field at grand old Ebbets Field. Framed to 11x42", the photo includes the likes of Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Walt Alston, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Carl Furillo and many other notables, including highly successful future managers Gil Hodges, Don Zimmer, Tommy Lasorda and Dick Williams. A Verna Photo credit is notated at the bottom left corner. There is mild discoloration on the left side of the photo, but otherwise is EX-MT. The '54 Brooklyn Bums sported a 92-62 record, falling just five games behind the eventual champion Giants from across town.
