1954 Brooklyn Dodgers Welcome Home Dinner Panoramic Photograph
One year before their magical season of 1955, the Dodgers are welcomed back to Brooklyn in this large photo from the Hotel St. George on April 12, 1954. The Welcome Home Dinner took place after Spring Training. Players sitting at the head tables include Gil Hodges, Don Newcombe, Johnny Podres, Pee Wee Reese, and others. The NRMT photo measures 10.5" x 18.5" and is framed and matted. The 1954 Dodgers finished 92-62 and in second place in the National League.
