1954 Hollywood Stars Jacket
With the arrival of the Dodgers the cross-town Triple-A Stars could no longer draw the crowds they once did, back when they were the only show in town. Rare, red wool jacket from the defunct, Pirates affiliated, Pacific Coast League squad is complimented by white leather sleeves and matching trim. The strongly used gamer carries a team logo on the chest and blue felt number “24,” above the center-front hem. “Hollywood,” crosses the back. The heavily worn collar is tagged but illegible with [size] “44” flag tag. Tiny left pocket hole and worn cuffs are present on this remarkable piece that is no stranger to the California sun. Obtained with LOA from former Star, Leonard Lindborg.
