1954 Marilyn Monroe Arrives in Tokyo for Her Honeymoon Photograph - Secretarially Signed (PSA Type II)

Vintage photograph of Marilyn Monroe during her 1954 honeymoon trip to Japan. Monroe is pictured disembarking from the plane accompanied by former Major League star Lefty O'Doul. Monroe arrived in Japan with her new husband, Joe DiMaggio. After their honeymoon, Monroe travelled to Korea to entertain the US troops, while DiMaggio and O'Doul remained in Japan to run a series of baseball clinics for the Japanese players. A secretarial inscription in blue ink that reads "I Love you all! Marilyn Monroe" appears in the lower right quadrant. The photo (9x7.25") displays a small diagonal crease in the lower left corner and adhesive residue on the reverse from having once been mounted in an album. A descriptive label, along with small ink notation also appears on the reverse. In Very Good to Excellent condition. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA designating it as Type II Authentic.
