1954 Sandy Koufax College Yearbook
Offered is Dodger Hall of Famer, Sandy Koufax’s 1954 college yearbook. Discovered and recruited by University of Cincinnati Bearcats coach, Ed Jucker, Koufax attended Cincinnati on a basketball scholarship. He also pitched for the freshman baseball team (since he was ineligible to play for varsity) and posted a 2.81 ERA. The Brooklyn Dodgers saw him pitch and signed him while he was still a freshman - and the rest is history. Yearbook was obtained from Ed Jucker’s widow. Jucker led the Bearcats basketball team to back-to-back NCAA championships in 1961-62. Great photos of Koufax within, posing with the baseball team and the basketball team. He averaged 9.7 per game that year and finished with 136 total points. Yearbook is EX-MT.
