1954 Willie Mays Signed Topps Baseball Card Contract

1954 Willie Mays Signed Topps Baseball Card Contract

Here's an important contract for a key card in Willie Mays' breakout season and World Championship year. He had a monster year with an MVP season leading the league in batting at .354 and slugging 41 homers, having the torch passed to him by Jackie Robinson and taking the pioneer's starting slot at the 1954 All Star Game. The contract is filled out in Mays' own young hand and is dated by him 3/8/54. Signed at the bottom with the rare variant Willie H. Mays, it is a standard Topps contract with incredibly unfair terms and virtual enslavement. Also comes with specimen of the 1954 Willie Mays Topps card this contract helped to create (VG). The document itself is VG+ while the signature is a very nice 8.5/10. One of the most important baseball card contracts ever to be publicly offered.
