1954 Willie Pep vs. Lulu Perez On-Site Fight Poster
On February 26, 1954 at Madison Square Garden in New York former featherweight champion Willie Pep took on capable Lulu Perez in the main event. Pep was put down three times in the second round resulting in an automatic stoppage by the referee. Many observers felt Pep had "thrown" this fight. Offered here is an original on-site poster for the fight. This poster is cardboard picturing both fighters. Bold color and clear images. Has a center crease. Minor soiling. Displays some restoration. 22" x 28". Extremely rare.
