1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams

1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams

Clearly the most difficult Ted Williams card to find in any condition is, what has come to be known as, "the Wilson Weiner Williams". In 1954, in an effort to increase their sales, Wilson and Co. inserted one of twenty baseball cards in packages of Wilson Franks. Many were greased stained despite their wax coating. The subject offering is totally free from any grease staining that frequently plagues these cards. The back is flawless. Because of a "miscut" left edge (according to SGC) we are inclined to believe that this card was cut from a sheet after it had left the factory. This was not uncommon at that time. We have had the card authenticated by SGC. It presents overall NRMT. This is a great opportunity to own one of most rare and sought after sportcards in the hobby today. This card is extremely desirable in any condition!
