1955-56 Ted Kluszewski Cincinnati Reds Signed Game Used Bat (PSA GU 8)

1955-56 Ted Kluszewski Cincinnati Reds Signed Game Used Bat (PSA GU 8)

The perfect embodiment of a slugger, Ted Kluszewski was all muscle and power at the plate, blasting monster home runs and compiling a near-.300 lifetime average, primarily for the Cincinnati Reds. From the latter days of his career comes this beaut of a bat - specifically a Hillerich & Bradsby U1 model that is uncracked and exhibits outstanding use. There are several ball marks on the right, left and back barrel, the number 2 written on the knob in black ink, as well as "Big Klu's" signature with the inscription: "To Buck the Best of Everything 5/22/56" in pen on the front barrel. The bat measures 36 inches and weighs 35.4 ounces. Kluszewski did not wear the #2 so its presence on the knob is a mystery. There is an LOA for the bat but not the signature.
