1955 Ken Strong Signed Topps All American Card
Ken Strong is the first known player in NFL history to attempt and score on a fair catch kick (a rare free kick attempt at a field goal after a punt downed by fair catch). The kick was made on November 20, 1933, while Strong was playing for the N.Y. Giants. The 30-yard kick was also the shortest fair catch kick in NFL history. Only five people, including Strong, have made successful fair catch kick attempts in the NFL. This card is from Strong’s days as a halfback at NYU. It has been encapsulated by SGC and the signature is graded Authentic by JSA. The signature, in blue marker, rates 7/10, while the card itself is VG-EX.
