1955 Mickey Mantle Game Used All Star Bat

1955 Mickey Mantle Game Used All Star Bat

Very rare bat was used by "The Mick" in the 1955 Major League Baseball All Star Game held at County Stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The good news is that Mickey hit a homerun in the first inning of the game. It is also good news to hear that one of the ball boys from the game kept this bat after Mickey cracked it. Now, for the bad news-the ball boy cut the bat in half, and hung it on his wall. It could be worse, he could have made a lamp out of it. Still, a highly desirable piece. Hillerich and Bradsby model M110 has the old style "Mickey Mantle" facsimile signature burned on the barrel. 35 inches in length, the handle has a crack with several small nails holding it in place. Very small mounting holes at the knob and barrel ends. The "10" form the M110 on the knob is still visible. Mounted on an 11 x 44 inch frame with a blue velvet background.
