1955 Ted Williams Sugar Crisp Advertising Sign
Teddy Ballgame's face appeared in lots of places pushing lots of products. Everyone wanted a piece of this very marketable fellow. In 1955 he was employed by Post Sugar Crisp to hawk the cereal's promotion whereby if you got two box tops and sent them in along with $.25 you would receive a set of 15 cloth NL and AL baseball patches. Displays like this one hung in stores. The rosy cheeked Ted is at the far left of the poster (42-3/4 x 17", framed). It is the first of its kind we have seen and will most likely be the last. It is in EX condition, with several folds as it was sent to the stores via the mail.
