1956 Floyd Patterson Fight Worn Championship Gloves

1956 Floyd Patterson Fight Worn Championship Gloves

These gloves were worn by Floyd Patterson on the night of November 30, 1956 when he knocked out Archie Moore, winning the World Heavyweight Championship, and becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in history (until Mike Tyson). The brick red Everlast gloves do not have their laces. The front of each glove, painted in gold, reads, "Patterson Ko'd Moore in 5 Rounds, World's Heavyweight Championship". The gloves come with a photo-matched black and white photo. The typed back says, "...Moore crashes to the canvas after taking left hook by Floyd Patterson in fifth round...Chicago Stadium...Moore was counted out after being floored again and Patterson became...champion".
