1956 Jackie Robinson Original Photograph (PSA Type I)
Original Type I photograph capturing Jackie Robinson and Dodgers teammate Randy Jackson posing together during spring training in 1956. An Associated Press credit stamp appears on the reverse, as does the original paper news caption which identifies the year as 1956. The date, "3-3-56," also appears in pencil below the caption. Unbeknownst to all at the time, this would be Robinson's last spring training with the Dodgers, as he retired the following January after accepting an executive position with the Chock Full O' Nuts company. The photo (7.25x9") displays a few light surface wrinkles and is in Excellent condition overall. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
