1956 Lefty Grove Athletics Hall of Fame Plaque (11x14")
Nine years after he was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, the star pitcher received his former team's highest honor. Brass plate affixed to wood backing reads, "Kansas City Athletics, Hall of Fame, To Robert M. Grove, In recognition and appreciation of distinguished service to the Athletics, 1956." A few nicks and scratches here and there, but overall look is great. Acquired from the estate of Grove.
