This is the actual Grantland Rice Award presented to Oklahoma coach, Bud Wilkinson. Top of award resembles a slender football in gold colored metal. "The Grantland Rice Award" is engraved on it. Wooden base has a gold plaque affixed with the wording "National Collegiate Football Champions, 1956, Oklahoma, Selected by the Football Writers Association of America. Presented by Look Magazine". 20 inches heigh. A very special and unique award presented to the leader of a great team. Obtained directly from the Wilkinson family. EX condition.
