1956 Syracuse Football Pennant with Jim Brown
This splendid condition football pennant from Brown's senior year marks that chapter of his career and life with the now-politically incorrect image of an angry, hard-charging Indian brandishing a tomahawk -- much the way Brown seemed on the field that year as a first-team All-American rushing for 986 yards and 14 TDs in just 8 games, plus 3 in the Cotton Bowl loss to TCU -- surrounded by a brilliant orange. Pennant reads "Syracuse 1956" in blue. At left is a "blue carpet" with the roster, topped by Brown, and another with "Coach [Ben] Schwartzwalder." Pennant is 29" long and NRMT.
