1956 Syracuse Football Scroll Pennant With Jim Brown
Not the most politically correct pennant you'll ever come across, but this Syracuse University banner is a thing of beauty, with the old Saltine Warrior mascot wielding a tomahawk against an orange background. Superstar running back Jim Brown tops the scroll of 32 players on the left side, with coach Ben Schwartzwalder on his own adjacent scroll. Beautifully framed, the banner shows some wear to the tip. The Syracuse University teams abandoned the old Orangemen nickname in 2004, transitioning to the more generic and less-controversial Orange.
