1957 Detroit Lions World Championship Tie-Bar
This classy tie bar commemorates the Detroit Lions World Championship in 1957, the last year the Lions won an NFL championship. Their drought is the second longest in the league behind only the Arizona Cardinals, and the Lions are the only NFC team to have not played in a Super Bowl. Led by Hall of Fame quarterback Bobby Layne, the '57 Lions parlayed an 8-4 record into a championship game appearance in which they stomped the Cleveland Browns 59-14 even without Layne, who had suffered a broken ankle late in the year. The 14k yellow gold tie bar has a face similar to championship rings from the period and a diamond graces the center that is about .3 carats with the words "Detroit Lions World Champs" surrounding it. The bar is marked 14k on the back, has an approximate gross weight of 13.5g, and is 1 7/8" long.
