1957 Mickey Mantle In Action PSA Type I Photograph

Displayed is an action shot of Mickey Mantle, in his home New York Yankee uniform sliding into third against the Boston Red Sox, most likely with Frank Malzone at third base. The photo captures the dust from the slide and Mantle's iconic number 7. In 1957, Mantle was coming off his previous year's Triple Crown and AL MVP performance. Mantle continued to star in '57, again winning the AL MVP. He hit .365, with 34 home runs and 94 RBI. The Yankees won the pennant in '57 but lost in the World Series against the Milwaukee Braves. The black and white type I photo measures 7x8.5". It has been slightly cropped, with a somewhat uneven cut, along the right side. The photo has been graded PSA Type I Authentic.
