1958-60 Whitey Ford New York Yankees Autographed Game Used Glove

1958-60 Whitey Ford New York Yankees Autographed Game Used Glove

Whitey Ford played his entire 17 year career in Yankee pinstripes, except for the 1951 and 1952 seasons when he served in the military during the Korean War. Ford is best known for his pitching prowess, and though he may not have had the fastest pitch in the league he had a diverse repertoire of pitches which gave him pin point control making him an effective strikeout pitcher for his time. This authentic game used glove is from the famed Little League Museum find. The Spalding glove is a Rocky Colovito Personal Model 1142 and Ford is written in faded black marker on the thumb and he has signed the glove on the inside pinky with the #16, his number which was eventually retired by the Yankees. The clear bold signature scores an 8.5/10. The glove shows nice game use and is in remarkable condition overall. Denny Esken LOA.
