1959 and 1960 Fleer Baseball Sets
The ’59 Fleer Ted Williams set is complete at 80 cards. The set that portrays the life of “The Kid” averages EX to EX-MT with a few NRMT examples mixed in. The one exception in the set is card number 68, which was withdrawn early in production, is slightly trimmed all-around and otherwise grades EX. The ’60 Fleer set is near complete with 70/79 cards. Missing from the set: 2, 16, 17, 24, 30, 36, 38, 40, and 62. Key cards grade as follows- #3 Ruth (NRMT, o/c), 28 Gehrig (NRMT+), 42 Cobb (NRMT), and 72 Williams (NRMT+). Balance of the set averages EX-MT+ to NR-MT with a few NM-MT examples mixed in.
