1959 Bob Gibson First Major League Game Full Ticket

1959 Bob Gibson First Major League Game Full Ticket

This great full ticket is from the Major League debut of Bob Gibson, and is packed with some great history. Dated April 15, 1959, it is encapsulated as Full Authentic by PSA and this very rare full ticket appears NRMT, though there are two punch holes which indicate the ticket was canceled. The 5x1.75" ducat lists the home site as the Los Angeles Coliseum, which the Dodgers occupied from 1957 until 1961. Gibson pitched two relief innings in that game, yielding a home run to his first batter, journeyman Jim Baxes. He would become the first Hall of Famer to have allowed a homer to his first opponent faced.
