1959 Johnny Unitas Game Worn Baltimore Colts Jersey and Pants
An amazing complete uniform of Baltimore Colts legend Johnny Unitas from the 1959 season. White and blue dureen three-quarters sleeved jersey is sweat-stained throughout. Even a few blood stains from numerous battles on the gridiron. Eleven team repairs mainly confined to the upper portion of the jersey as well. #19 on both front and back, with smaller digits on the sleeves. Remnants of the MacGregor tag in tail, along side washing instructions. An extra large signature in black Sharpie on the front. All in all, an unimprovable Unitas game worn Baltimore Colts jersey. As a bonus, a pair of Johnny U's pants was acquired at the same time, and features a nicely faded "19" in marker in the waistband, and a nice signature nearby. The stretch nylon pants show great wear, with a seven-inch repair on the rear end. One of the few real Unitas jerseys to show up in the hobby with undisputed, legitimate game wear. Was originally obtained from the Baltimore Colts equipment man around 1960. A gem.
