1959 Los Angeles Dodgers Pennant Day Proclamation

1959 Los Angeles Dodgers Pennant Day Proclamation

This framed and matted, official County of Los Angeles proclamation celebrates the 1959 Dodgers World Championship and states that April 17, 1960 will be Pennant Day. This was the first of the five World Series crowns the franchise would win in the City of Angels, having moved West from Brooklyn the previous season. Among the great players on that championship club were Duke Snider, Gil Hodges, Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale as they swept the Chicago White Sox for the trophy. Parts of this document are hand-painted and there is noticeable water damage. VG condition overall.
