1959 Los Angeles Rams Jersey
Great, tough-as-nails Los Angeles Rams jersey from 1959 looks as if has survived a pounding on the field, something the Rams had to do that year in going 2-10. Any Rams memorabilia hunter can tick off the changes in the team's jerseys from that era, and the stripes on the sleeve of this jersey distinguish it from the earlier-'50s version that had no striping at all. As well, this season there was no thin white border around the numbers on the chest. It would take until 1965 for the Rams to junk the blue and gold colors for a plain blue and white motif, and then again until 1979 for the blue and gold to return in part, and in full in 1988. Of course, this color scheme and number today would belong to Marshall Faulk of the St. Louis Rams. The gold number, torn off the uniform in spots, are in front and back. The jersey itself is ripped only under the front "2". Tagging on the left front tail is "Spanjian Size 40".
