1960 Boston Celtics World Championship Ring
The Boston Celtics dynasty was born in the late 1950s and continued straight through the following decade. Led by immortals such as Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, Tommy Heinsohn and coach Red Auerbach, Boston's b'ballers were the most dominant group ever to hit the hardwood, capturing eight straight NBA titles at one point. The second of those eight straight championship clubs capped a 59-16 regular season with a six-game series win over Philadelphia in the semifinals and then alternated victories with the St. Louis Hawks in the Finals, capturing the decisive seventh game at Boston Garden on April 9 (the regular season doesn't even end by then these days!). From that title team comes this simple and elegant 14 Karat gold ring with a real 12-point diamond in the center of a shamrock on the face. Wording around the center reads: "BOSTON CELTICS 1960 WORLD CHAMPIONS" The shanks are blank and the recipient is unknown. The size 9.5 ring was originally issued as a charm and later converted into a ring. It is in NRMT condition. LOA.
