1960 Democratic National Convention Full Ticket (John F Kennedy) PSA NM-MT 8

1960 Democratic National Convention Full Ticket (John F Kennedy) PSA NM-MT 8

During the 1960 Democratic Convention held in Los Angeles, some delegates felt that John F. Kennedy's young age was an issue and urged him to try for the Vice President slot on the Democratic ticket. Realizing that the suggestion came from his political opponents, Kennedy brushed aside the suggestion, saying, "I'm not running for Vice President. I'm running for President." Kennedy did secure the Presidential nomination at the convention, running on a ticket with Lyndon Johnson as the Vice-Presidential candidate. In the general election, Kennedy defeated Richard Nixon by a narrow margin to claim the Presidency. The ticket provided access to the working area of the Sports Arena, and it is so marked. The ticket is encapsulated and graded PSA NM-MT 8, with the encapsulated measurement is 1.75x7". The ticket is a tangible marker of an important event in American history.
