1960 Ingeman Johansson Vs. Floyd Patterson Swedish Poster
On June 20, 1960 at the Polo Grounds in New York, Heavyweight Champion Ingemar Johansson defended his title against the man he won it from a year earlier, Floyd Patterson. Patterson gained his revenge with a spectacular knockout in the sixth round to become the first man in history to regain the Heavyweight Title. Offered here is a very rare Swedish poster honoring then champion, Ingemar Johansson and advertising his rematch with Patterson. This illustrated poster is paper with bold color and print and bold, clear image. There is some creasing and soiling with edge and surface wear. Measuring 27" x 34", it is the only example we have seen.
