1960 Marv Throneberry Kansas City Athletics Game Worn Jersey
Affectionately known as "Marvelous Marv," Marv Throneberry played with the Yankees, Athletics, Orioles, and was also the starting first baseman for the 1962 New York Mets, a team which set the modern record for most losses in a season with 120. Worn by Marvelous Marv during his days with the Athletics in Kansas City, this Wilson size “44” jersey retains its original manufacturers tag in the collar and is stitched “Set 1-1960-3” in blue on the front tail. Jersey simply “Athletics” across the front in script with a “3” on the back and an A’s elephant logo on the left shoulder; all in red and blue. Jersey shows fine use with some light staining and a partially loose “3” on the back.
