Oscar Robertson, the "Big O," was one of the best basketball players of all time and presented is his stunningly beautiful 1960 USA Olympic Basketball Team Gold Medal Commemorative Ring. The 1960 Olympic Team was one of the best USA Olympic squads ever assembled. The team rolled through the Olympics, held in Rome, with an undefeated 12-0 record. The squad didn't just beat opponents; it demolished them. The USA team averaged 101.9 points per game, and the squad held opponents to an average of only 59.5 PPG. Oscar Robertson, a 6' 5" guard, led the USA team in scoring at 17.3 PPG. Oscar was followed by Jerry Lucas at 16.8 PPG and Jerry West at 14.1 PPG. Nine players from the 1960 Olympic team went onto play in the NBA, and four of those players eventually became Hall of Famers: Robertson, Lucas, West, and Walt Bellamy. When Robertson went to the NBA, he became a 12-time All-Star, the 1960-61 Rookie of the Year, an 8-time assist champ, the 1963-64 MVP, and a key part of the 1971 NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks. Robertson was a big scorer, averaging 25.7 PPG in his NBA career, and yet he was also a fine playmaker, as he averaged 9.5 assists per game. The ring comes from the personal collection of Oscar Robertson, a collection previously auctioned off. The ring is a vintage style, 14 Gold Karats. It is a size 15.00 with a total weight in grams of 23.80. The primary stone is a diamond, with a dimension of 1.20mm-1.30mm. The primary stone's carat weight is 0.40 ctw. The gorgeous ring has 50 diamonds in all. Each of the diamonds has been tested and each diamond is real. The offering represents one of the all-time greatest basketball players in the world from one of America's best ever Olympic Basketball teams.
