1960 Topps Funny Valentines Unopened Wax Box (BBCE)

Topps' 'NEW Funny Valentines' continues the ritual of corny classroom Valentine's Day cards. Topps first siezed on the idea in 1959 and produced 'Funny Valentines' cards, a collection of silly gags, fun artwork and a bit of a rebel attitude. The idea proved so popular that in 1960 Topps again produced a 'Funny Valentines' set (aka 'NEW Funny Valentines'). Both sets feature the artwork of Jack Davis; 'NEW Valentines' is distinguished from the first set by the "A" appended to the card numbers. Offered here is a FULL box of unopened 'NEW Funny Valentines' packs, in the rarer 36-count format (Canadian issue?), in 5¢ pack form. The box and its contents have been authenticated and sealed by Steve Hart of Baseball Card Exchange ('BBCE'). The box itself displays minimally as EX-MT (the perforated top has not even been broken), and one can safely assume that the contents are in near-untouched condition. A great high-grade non-sport collectible!
