1960 World Series Game Used Baseball from Forbes Field

1960 World Series Game Used Baseball from Forbes Field

It was the Pittsburgh Pirates’ first World Series appearance in 35 years, and they sure made it memorable, staging one of the most dramatic finishes, a la “Maz”, facing the Bronx Bombers, who had made 8 of the previous 10 Fall Classics. Tough to say with any degree of certainty, but this Game used World Series baseball could very well be from Game 7, in which Bill Mazeroski belted the Shot Heard ‘Round the World in the Steel City, hitting a home run off of the Yankees’ Ralph Terry for the Game and Series winner. This is a game used ball from one of four Games played in Forbes Field. ONL (Giles) ball shows good use and is signed by all 6 umpires, including Nestor Chylak.
